I had a S.A. 1911A1 G.I. series pistol. I used the frame for another build. So I have the G.I. slide and barrel and bought an 80% frame. A buddy gave me a new SS match threaded bull barrel. My question is- If I get a reverse recoil plug with the "shoe" support machined into it can I use the bull barrel on a slide machined for a standard GI type barrel bushing?
Any 1911 smiths around?
