BROWNING B80 BARRELS

I own a Browning B80 that is about 35 years old. It shoots 2 3/4" shells. I just recently found out that, with the right barrel, it can shoot 3" shells. I then found a barrel for 3", but it was not threaded for chokes. Does anyone know if there are 3" threaded barrels available for the B80? Also, the barrel must be able to shoot steel shot. Thanks.

U might be better off buying the 3" barrel and have it threaded for chokes. I can imagine the 3" chambered barrel was almost as rare as chicken teeth. Or you might get the barrel and use other nontoxic shot such as Bismuth for waterfowl hunting or hunting in areas that require nontoxic shot to be used for small game/waterfowl hunting.

That isn’t always an option
Sometimes on older hubs extending the chamber and forcing cone thins the barrel too much, lots of shotgun barrels are tapered or even hourglass shaped , especially on lightweight guns
Need to mic and map the walls
A good shotgun smith with do that beforehand
Chokes also must be measured but usually you can fit tru chokes in most shotgun barrels and they can shoot steel shot
Tru choke thin wall can not
