Cc permit classes during week?

Does anyone offer cc permit classes/ training during the weekday/ nights? Baton Rouge area or will travel with in one hour of Baton Rouge?

Bearco Training in Covington is full for this month, but they have an online class that you can take on your PC anytime. You can start and stop at will. I took it and found it better than most in-person classes. I believe that he told me that you can shoot just about anywhere, but you should verify that.

Just curious - does the instructor meet you at any range and finish the shooting portion of the course? Who pays the range fees?

When I took the online course, he had a live course scheduled on a Tuesday, and I met them at the range at 0800, shot my qualification, he signed my card, and I left. He and the other students then went to the classroom and completed their course. The range fee was included in the online course.

It is my understanding that he is working with other ranges to allow the shooting portion to be completed at any certified range.

I met instructor at range in Bedico last Monday afternoon... he had set up, covered range safety, exactly what to the course of fire was ... shot for him .. he signed the certificate electronically and sent it to me

Did you complete application process with the state? I have heard 6 ways to Sunday that all the online courses are scams. This looks legit however...

My renewal was processed and arrived within two weeks. Beware, this is not an "online" course. This is the real deal. You can take it in person or online. You get the same certificate that is recognized by the state either way.

Point being, there are many "online" courses that aren't worth a dime, and are not approved by LSP. This one is.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll be opting for this online option as it’s tough to get a full day away for the in person.

I did the "on line" course with Kendrick Barrett of Bearco Training back in August, did the shooting qualification in early September. Processed the on line renewal with no problem. The on line portion of the course was great! Spent an hour so each evening and had it done in no time and on my own time!
