They'll hold him for 24/48hrs, then release him with a court date paper in hand. Which he will likely never show up for. After which, he now has learned that lesson, will probably be taught several other lessons and tricks by his peers of how to better stay under the radar, and never be seen or heard of again. My son is a Deputy in a neighboring Parish . It seems like once a week he pulls somebody over for a traffic violation and it turns out the guy is a felon in possession of a firearm and hauling a bunch of a drugs .
