I'm late seeing this, apparently effective April 2021 Essential Arms (Krotz Springs) has closed. Regrettable, I have rifles built on two of their receivers. From their website:

    Essential Arms Co. Farewell

A closing word and thank you to our customers for nearly 40 years of purchasing our products. We always strove to offer a good product at a fair price.

Our lower receivers numberings 1000 to 50,000 will all have raised lettering except for the serial numbers which were stamped.

    As CAL. 223-5.56 E.A. CO.

    MOD: J.15 KSLA

    EA. 0000<Number Stamped

All receivers below #50,000 are pre-ban and were manufactured before the cut off date in September 1994.

The second series lower receivers marked J-15-2 are post ban.

The third series J-15-F (F-forging) with engraved lettering are post ban.

For 35 years, we manufactured CAR aluminum stocks for the AR15 that were second to no other in the country. This tooling has been purchased by Double Star Inc. located in Kentucky. With our original tooling and their advanced manufacturing facility, we believe excellent CAR stocks will be available for Americans shortly.

Thanks to all of you who have supported us all these years!

In the early 1990s, EA AR15 lower receivers were cast aluminum. I had an FFL back then and ordered 6 of them. gray finished cast AL.

I used to like running into Vaughn at the gun shows. He always had every part one could think of and it was always a pleasure to have a conversation with him. I have one EA lower and one of his aluminum stocks.

    Hmmmm…
I have a few EA preban lowers but mine all say Eagle Arms on the side. Now I’m wondering if all the times I heard someone refer to EA whether they meant Eagle or Essential.

So I accessed the site via google, and it still shows to be populated.

I did find the info you posted eventually.

Just weird that the old site is still there.
