Got a question about my shotgun.

Since I have a Remington 870 express YOUTH 20 GAUGE unit, are there parts to make it a tactical based unit?

You see, I want to get something similar to this unit:

However, I don't need all the bells and whistles.

The main question is if I am able to "modify" the unit I have? It is not a 12 gauge, etc.

IIRC, the youth model just gives a shorter stock (which is being replaced anyway) and a shorter barrel

It has too much **** hanging off it, no way in hell can you access the safety with a pistol grip.

although the 870 has a better safety placement for it.

The shorter stock is good, keeps it more compact and the short length of pull keeps it closer to you. If any thing it might could need a bit of a trim on the stock, get the barrel cut down to 18.75.

Get a but cuff or side saddle for slugs, a simple sling and a light, preferably a surefire forend.

Dont worry about adjustable this and pistol grip that and I couldn't imagine needing a knoxx stock with a 20...

Find some good buck and slug loads that work well in the gun.
