Does anyone know the thread pitch for a yugo 5966a1 sks? I removed the GL muzzle and purchased a 14×1 rh threaded slant break but it does not fit, seems too small

I have zero experience with any SKS mods but searching I found this thread with some pics. Maybe it will help you, the images.

Four online forums I read searching stated 14x1 RH like you said above. Same threading but LH for an AK. Are you positive what you purchased and have is indeed 14x1 RH? Is it marked? Maybe they sent you one with the incorrect threading.

It's definitely 14x1 RH and it should index off of the muzzle face.....that's the same thread pitch that the VZ58 rifle uses. Not easy to find muzzle devices in that pattern. We had to get CGS to make a custom direct thread mount for my buddy's Helios QD suppressor for this.
