One would think he would be immune to a lawsuit from his attempted murderer's family once he was acquitted of all charges, and he proved self defense. Hopefully he prevails, and has grounds to countersue.

The most ridiculous line from this story "Anthony Huber, 26, struck Rittenhouse with his skateboard and tried to disarm him" Journalism is almost comical at this point. At that time, Rittenhouse was most definitely fighting for his life.

I predict one of two outcomes.

    1. If Kyle has money he may offer a settlement to simply placate the father. Offering a hundred K or two might be a nice carrot to dangle and that’s likely what his defense could cost anyway.
    2. No win. Self defense was clearly established in the criminal trial. Skater boy was labeled an attacker. In which case, I trust Kyle’s legal team is planning a nice counter suit, which could leverage the father to accept scenario 1.
I’m leaning more to scenario 2 because a settlement would likely lend to the families of the other attacker to also file suit.

I believe it said in the story that someone else is already suing Kyle. I think it's the 2nd place winner of the Wisconsin quick draw competition. You know, the one who testified that he wasn't shot until he pointed his gun at Kyle.
