    Bought some Remington Express No. 3 buckshot (20 pellets/round, pellet diameter = .25") at Academy today and decided to check out the pattern with various chokes.

    I was surprised at the results.

    * At 30 feet using a Beretta "Full choke >>>>>>>> 2.5 inches.

    * At 30 feet using a Briley "Extra Full" choke >>>>>>>>>>> 4 inches

    * At 30 feet using a Briley "Improved Cylinder" choke >>>>> 5 inches

    2.5" at 10 yards... thats not bad at all! patterns that tight will definitely hurt, and also show that a defense shotgun is NOT a "point and shoot" weapon
