Louisiana time limit for LSP to process CCW permit apps

Hey:

I do not see in RS 40:1379.3 (the ccw permit section of LA law) how long the state police has by law to issue (or deny) applications. Every other (shall issue) state I have been doing research on has it specified in statute.

Am I missing something or did the esteemed legislature neglect to give the state police a time limit?

(I am trying to get my representative to submit a bill to cut down our (MS) 120 day time limit to 30 to 60 days and he asked me to write up a comparison with other state's time limits).

I received mine within 30 days, but a friend of mine said he made a phone call on my behalf to expedite things. As for an official time limit, I am not aware of any here in Louisiana.

I'm unaware of a legal "limit" as well.

Mine took exactly 30 days but I dropped it off in person at LSP HQ. Not aware of any legal time limit.
