The head has actually been around for while, but was LE only for a period of time. I guess with enough demand they released it to the public.

    What is the threaded adapter?

FYI, for dudes who want more batteries, Illumn is the secret spot for them. Skip paying $35+ for a 2 pack, you can buy them for $11/ea at Illumn. Stick with batteries that have a 10A discharge and you'll be good to go.

That might be cheaper than dealer cost. Good deal. Thanks for posting.

Factor in WMLs and Big Flex is north of $1100 on flashlights... and I'm over here with my $34 microstream LOL

I use a Maglite with a tail switch and offset mount. Been using this setup for years and get ragged on about it, but it works great for me. I can even change the light color to red, green or blue. I use my thumb to turn it on and off and it feels natural to me. The joke is on the people spending $100's on their lights that do the same thing as mine.

    yup lol

i have not seen a maglite yet even the LED ones that even come close to my m300 and thats about the bottom of the barrel for wepons lights lol....

These are the specs on the newest Maglite LED offerings, assuming that’s what he has…

Obviously 671 lumens is much higher than 1,350 and obviously 8,545 cd is higher than 54,000 cd…

    LOL I love trolls trolling.

You could save even more money if you go find a bunch of sticks and use a Bic lighter to light them on fire. Would probably be just as good too. Besides, lighting sticks on fire for many years "worked for them"

The pistol light has been out for a short time, what’s the verdict? Only negative I’ve read about was no momentary position.

I handled one at Gretna gun and I’m not sure about how the plastic rail insert will hold up.

It would be hard to get use to no momentary

Attended a low light room clearing training last night. One of the guys had a modlite on his shorty, and I really didn’t notice a difference between his candela on target and mine, running a streamlight HL-X. His didn’t have as much spill as mine and definitely had a more focused hotspot, but I’m not sure the difference is worth the price gap at realistic room clearing SBR type distances. Personally I find spill kinda useful for passively clearing the room in peripheral vision, but that’s a personal thing based on just me.

Now granted his modlite is a much smaller footprint and I’m sure lighter than my 18650-powered streamlight, but no idea how the battery life would compare. I know we both got “Jesus that’s bright” almost painful-looking reactions from role players and O/Cs while clearing (breeches flagged safe/empty). Didn’t get to swap gear and test drive it, so this is solely based on observation.

    Just a quick two cents…

Just an interesting size comparison, and the little plastic pieces to index the modlite
