im wondering about if i should get the MTAC or CTAC for ccw. im a small frame guy(5'7", 170) and was wondering if anyone has one of these and can shed some lite on my situation. im curious how the MTAC will fit me with the extra leather and if its a better move since we live in LA. i do sweat alot and am wondering if the MTAC would be the better choice for this reason. but i wonder if the CTAC is less bulky and would be more comfortable. any suggestions?

I have a CTAC for my G26. The Kydex...is....well uncomfortable. But the reason why I got it was because I work outside and I didn't want the sweat to get on my gun or at least not as much. I may be looking for a quality leather rig soon. YMMV

I'd say of the CTAC vs. MTAC i'd probably go MTAC.

I am a small guy (5'4, 140 pounds) and I can conceal a Service model XD (4" barrel) in my MTAC. A G27 should not be a problem for you. It is extremely comfortable and that extra leather is a creature comfort. It helps to mold the pistol to your body. I carry it around the house to get used to it until I get my CHP and I forget I have it on sometimes.

Depends on the clips you get. I got the C-clips and it is tough to get off at times. But the way I look at it, I know it will be sturdy if I ever have to draw.

I just receive my MTAC for my XD .45 compact today. :)
Wore it all day. All I can say is wow.
I was concerned carrying my .45 instead of my Glock 19 but after a few hours I almost forgot I had it on.

Mtac everyday for a coupla years now. It has been under every house, in every attic and in place for every foot of ditch I've dug in that time. I have only managed to break one J-clip about a year in, and that only happened when I was lying on my side (full weight) in an attic with the holster centered on a joist. I replaced them with the extra C-clips I had ordered with it and never missed a lick. I carry a G-30 and it's rusty and pitted as hell on the left side of the slide...but that's a body chemistry thing I think, I've never seen a Glock uglier than mine and I do take some strange satisfaction in that. Bottom line is you will love the Mtac, the leather back looks bulky as hell, but once it molds to your hip you're golden....Scott
