New member from near Lake Charles

New guy from the Lake Charles area...Actually live near a small town about 20 miles east of Lake Charles. I work as a remote paramedic on a deepwater production platform. Married with kids. The only firearm I own presently is a Ruger SR-9. Looking to add a few more to the collection in the near future, possibly an AR. I came across a link for this site on the AR15.com website. I'm also a member a few other online forums as well.

Casa isn't bad...the margaritas are okay...I prefer my "Mes-can" food from authentic taquerias, however - unfortunately I haven't found a good one locally.

Ummmm...no not really...considering i was all of about 8 or 9 at the time. I do have a few other "fond" memories of the Food Fest before alcohol was banned...

I'm origionally from Lowry. I was a SR. in high school when that riot broke out. It wasd a mess. I left before they burned the police unit.

Welcome from Welsh. We moved here from Lake Charles about 7 years ago. Nice to be able to shoot, cuss, fish, let the dog run wild, ride dirt bikes, chase the armadillos with a Jeep and generally enjoy the stuff outside you can't do in the middle of town. We live a couple of miles from Welsh. You will like it here. A good Mex restaurant in Crowley, about half hour to the East, is El Dorado on the main drag. Food fairly good and folks actually can speak Spanish, ha. Welcome again.
