The new St. Mary Parish Sheriff's range should be open this weekend depending on weather conditions I am told. Free for use this opening weekend - mainly to keep hunters from zeroing where they shouldn't. Daily and yearly charges to be determined. I think lifetime membership was around the $2000 range. Located just outside of Franklin, south of 90, near the Black Bear Refuge. Not sure how many the range can handle. Longest distance is 100 yrds for rifle. Also has areas for shotgun and pistol. May take a couple of hours this weekend to check her out.
