Im not saying the PAQ/PEQ are perfect but show me a better way to shoot quickly and accurately at night whilst keeping your NOD's on your face where they belong.

<cough, cough get good with the irons, cough cough>
*if* I were going to forgo irons, which I don't/wouldn't - personally, an aimpoint 2 mil, prefer teh new one that takes a AA.
For my wifes AR, she got the EO tech - she liked the 65moa ring with the 1 moa dot.
If the EO T had the aimpoints battery life, that would probably be my choice as well.
They are both good choices, but IMHO, the superior choice is actually irons, and spend the $$ on ammo/training.
That said, I understand the need for toys.
Depends on the shooters skill level... I've seen guys that can shoot irons as well as dots, but they have put in their time. These are the typs of guys that can teach aerial gunnery and hit 19/20 4x4" targets with an AR while in a moving helicopter... dead serious.
If you take it all the way, I don't think there is much/any advantage to the dots - at least not enough to offset the possibility that they might go down.
