Outdoor bay style shooting ranges

Often see bay style outdoor shooting ranges where you can move and shoot draw etc on youtube from various gun tubers mostly up north. Any reason something like that isn't around se louisiana or do I just not know about it?

I believe Palo Alto lets folks do this. There is also a range right off of I10 in Mississippi that allows it.

FRC will allow you to draw and shoot from concealment.

There are also plenty of classes with private ranges that will certainly do this.

Southern Shooting Center is like this and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately I find most ranges are geared towards long range shooting and the pistol shooting area is a static line. Hopefully the new owners improve the customer service side of things.

I talked to the new owner of Southern Shooting Center about a week ago. He told me they are planning to open in April. He's busy doing all the paperwork and obtaining permits. The range has 10 or 12 pistol bays. In the past, you would claim a bay and do what you want, to an extent. Don't know what the new guy will do.

Is SSC the one that is kind of back in the woods, dirt/gravel road to it? If so, that place was great!

Yes. The range is great. The old owners were pretty strange to say the least.
