I have a favorite hiking backpack of mine that I think is the best backpack every created in terms of weight distribution etc. The Osprey Exos 46. I go ultralight and camp in a hennessey hammock. These things are pretty freaking cool. My hammock is tactically great but the pack is like walking around with a target on my back.

    The problem is the color

I would like to paint it a digital woodland camo like my tactical vest and have packed and ready to go. Would it be possible to do this and what would I use?

Thanks for any advice or suggestions even if it is just a company to send it off to.

Go to a craft store. They will have FabriColor in a spray can. Now with that being said, I'm not certain it will adhere to 100% synthetics, but you can read and ask.

That's very similar to my Gregory pack. I've considered it but figured the nylon wouldn't take the paint. I figured if I needed better coloring I'd add a piece of burlap for coloring.

The craft stores also have acrylic paints for fabrics.
    Any acrylic will work.
They also sell something called textile medium that helps the paint adhere to fabrics.

I think I am actually going to go with LAcampers suggestion and add a piece of burlap or some sort of cloth that will cover it instead of painting it. Since most of the material is synthetic I don't think that the paint/dye suggested will hold.

You can do like back in the day for Molle packs.. just make a cover for it with an elastic band like the box-spring sheet ;-)

I was thinking the same thing. It would be easier and more cost efficient to just make a slip for the back pack and the straps than it would to go and paint that thing.
