Shoot both and you choose which works better for you---I've been a big Ruger fan all my life and own seven---BUT you ain't getting
my TX 22, my favorite fun and target/plinker .22. Just my opinion.

I own only the Ruger's. MK I, II, III, IV. Probably a few laying around in a closet that I've forgotten about. I've heard good things about the Taurus but haven't handled one yet. I did see an interesting FN 22lr pistol the other day and it seemed very nice, but I would need a little more background on it. My money buys Ruger without hesitation.

Love my TX22 Comp. Shoots great and makes a great suppressor host. Probably can't go wrong with either though.

I'm with @Magdump I'd trade for the Ruger, then buy another TX22 competition. I don't have a 22/45, but I usually leave the MKII at home and shoot the TX22 Comp when I'm shooting.
