To date, my 2008 Ruger P95 round count is at 3,225!!
So far, not one single failure of any kind with any type of 9mm ammo.
From steel, nickel and brass case with FMJ and assorted jacketed and semi jacketed hollow points ranging from 115grn, 124grn and 147grn. It has eaten tons of standard pressure, +P and +P+ ammo with no issues.
Yes, it is a heavy and bulky gun even with a polymer frame and stainless steel slide, but this thing is built like a tank.
It's a gun that lives in my night stand safe with the 3 OEM Ruger 15rnd mags.
Overall, I'm more than satisfied of it's performance and I plan on adding to it's current round count for years to come.
    That is all.

I had a P89 back in the 80s when I had an FFL, and I never had an issue with it. I sold it to my brother in law years later who still carries it to this day. You definitely got your moneys worth back then.

I had a P89 that I sold to a member here. Despite having the ergonomics of a wall stud, it was a really solid pistol that ate everything that it was fed without fail.

I sometimes regret having parted with it.

I had a P95 in the late 90s that I ended up selling during the AWB. It served duty as a cheap car gun, but I found it too bulky to be practical for anything other than that. I replaced it with a Sig P226, which while bulky, I enjoyed shooting a lot more. IMHO the Sig was just a smoother overall gun that was a pleasure to shoot. Made in Germany, stamped slide, and all....

Also, I nabbed the Sig for a good price from a neighbor who was going through a divorce. He sold it to me for $250 cash, which just so happened to be the same price that I sold my P95 for.

Man I'm not shocked to hear Cujo still loves his P95s :D I managed to squirm my way back into owning mine, which is actually the first gun I ever bought. Have no plans of ever selling it again. It now serves as the "first full caliber" gun to shoot for my students and other folks I teach. It's such a Cadillac to shoot with how heavy it is.

Absolutely love my P95, bought this one new in the early 2000s and never will part ways with it. This Ruger will shoot anything you feed it, from the cheapest to the most expensive ammo. I couldn’t tell you how many rounds been through it but it’s in the 1000’s. It’s now considerate my camp and truck gun.

I love the gumball machine full of ammo, but I hope you have it rigged to accept dollar coins so your friends don't clean you out.

Unfortunately it’s only .25 cents and it gives you 7 to 8 rounds. Getting ready to set up another one with 45acp.
Lol it’s not a money maker.

You should add a few boxes of this to add to the variety of color lol. The federal syntech defense with blue powder coated bullets.

The first pistol I ever bought was a Ruger P89. I bought is back in the early 90's. I still own it and will never sell it. It has been a fantastic gun and has never malfunctioned.

Picked up a nice p94 in 9mm about a year ago. New in the box, as best as I can tell. It is "bulky" in some respects, mainly slide width. Build quality is nice, just something about a metal framed gun. I had a 89, and this 94 is made better, fit and finish, plus I like trigger shape over the 89.

3,225 rounds is a pretty good amount of rounds but in my experience it doesn't rate two exclamation marks unless you are genuinely surprised at that accomplishment.

Back when I was very actively shooting USPSA a 1,000 rounds a month was the norm. These days it's just Glock GSSF matches at 3 clubs for 100 rounds each match a month. So plus or minus 3,000 a year in just the Glock 17.5. The G43 is hard that.

Nonetheless those Ruger P-series pistols, while bulky, were indeed reliable. It's a good thing.

no doubt you all are truthful here. but something out there does not want me to enjoy the ruger semi auto pistols.

way back i bought a ruger p89 dc. it wouldn't malfunction often but when it did i had to get the tool box out and work on it a bit to unjam it.

years later i bought a p90 at the exact same time as my bro in law bought one at the gunshow. we stopped to shoot our rugers on the way home. my p 90 malfunctioned on the first mag, his did not. my p 90 continued to malfunction every range trip.
