Are there any good newly designed, non-replica, shotgun pistols being made these days? I knew this supplier from Texas that used to carry oddball items like this, but I haven't been able to get in touch with him and his company for years. Most of the shotgun pistols I have seen lately have been low production models that have no market strength whatsoever due to their odd appearance. Additionally, most of these I am referring to are custom one-of-a-kind crafted units that are truly what seems to be unmarketable. However, I was wondering if there was a company that is selling a competitive, appealing, repairable (i.e., available parts) shotgun pistol?

    Let me know.

it is classified as an "Any Other Weapon" (not a shotgun, pistol, short barrel shotgun or short barrel rifle), so it is consider a class 3 item ( requires permits and such) and there is a $5 tax to transfer one (like the $200 short barrel rifle or suppressor tax)

It's a $5 tax yes. But not nearly as simple as paying sales tax at the store. Google "National Firearms Act" or see my Sticky in the Class III section about buying a suppressor. Same process.

Tauras judge is what you are probably looking for. But really, what's the point.

I watched someone shoot a judge at Nick's a few weeks ago. It worked, but I wasn't overly impressed. I couldn't come up with a good reason to have the cylinder stretched to accomodate .410 shells. You could do just as well with snake shot rounds in .45LC in a regular chamber length for hunting mice or snakes. Other than that, .45LC could do it better. Maybe .410 slugs?
