Takedown issue w/ Sig P365

Takedown lever will only turn about 15 degrees. It appears that the lever is interacting with the guide rod, because the rod pushes forward when trying to turn lever.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Get rid of it and buy a Glock would be my advice.

Haha! A Glock is my EDC, the P365 is for days when I want smaller.

Thanks, but neither video addressed my issue. My takedown lever won’t rotate to 6 o’clock.

Recoil spring counter rotated somehow ? Maybe its not slanted directly up and down and its impacting the lever on its movement ?
Lock slide and grab recoil spring and rotate in either direction while trying to push down lever ?

I had to use the butt of a 9mm round to rotate both of mine to the 6 last night.
It worked, but I was having the same issue as you.

It worked, but I was having the same issue as you.

So it ended up that the tit on the end of the takedown lever safety bar that engages the sear had broken off. $35 part from Sig & it’s back in business.

My technical opinion:
Sometimes you gotta' hold your mouth just right and jiggle stuff.
(Glad you got it fixed but disappointed if SIG did not comp the part.)
