i have a question. is it legal to thread the barrel of an SKS. i want to put the ak-74 compensator on it. i've tried the twist ons and i'm not happy with them. i wouldn't care if it needs to be drilled and pinned or silver soldered. i just want it to be secure on the end of the barrel. i found a die set at brownells for an ak-47 and after a few measurments with the caliper i've found they have the same OD. also if this is legal do you know a gunsmith that will drill and pin if need be. thanks so much -dan

BE Careful SKS are often subject to 922 AND especially if you put a removable mag on it.

A brake would be one of the Evil features.
