This dude was a lead negotiator for the Debt "Deal", that basically gives Biden everything he wants, and he has been completely spineless on Firearm Rights. Lets get this guy out of here, vote him out! We have too many of these closet Democrats. Cassidy and Graves and tons of them in Metro Councils across the State (Jen Racca in BR, for example, she only wants to be a judge and she is really a democrat running as a republican. She refuses to address Halfway Houses or Student Rentals in Single-Family zoned neighborhoods...but they will enforce Ordinances that you break, if you upset them or are not part of the club), total disappointments. We will continue to be the joke of the South if we keep people like these guys in office. They run as Republicans and give the illusion that Louisiana is "Red", but it has really been "Blue" for 100+ years.

They act like they made headway towards smaller government but they only cut $1.4B of the $80B for new IRS agents that will audit YOU (and me).

These people will "preserve our liberty" right into the American Socialist/Communist Era, as long as their friends and families get the board positions, the scholarships, the gifts, etc..

Do you have connections? Maybe it's time for YOU to run for office.

I'm a Libertarian, so almost -everyone- wants to burn me at the stake, but I'll probably vote for you over these trashbag politicians. I'll take an actual Constitutional Conservative 100% of the time over anyone else.

Graves has been spineless since he was a State Rep. when I asked him to voice support for Constitutional Carry, and he said "It's not my job, contact your other members of congress."

.... She refuses to address Halfway Houses or Student Rentals in Single-Family zoned neighborhoods.......

    I'm a Libertarian,...
I am having a hard time reconciling this. A Libertarian wanting government officials to dictate who can live in a particular residence? But then, I don't really comprehend most political language these days.

But I do agree that Cassidy needs to go. Should have never gotten there to begin with actually.

Yes, I understand where you are coming from. I'm not actually for zoning, but what I am against more than zoning is selectively enforced/politicians that selectively enforce zoning. Does that makes sense?

If we are going to have it I just want it equally applied, not for professional courtesy or self-interest to inspire unequal application of the law.

When the son of a republican politician lives at a rental, that violates zoning laws, and it is owned by the sister of a local democrat politician we may have a problem with nepotism and blurred party lines.

When a Real Estate lawyer owns hundreds of rentals, and some halfway houses, in single family zoned neighborhoods throughout the city, and that lawyer regularly runs for judge and no one will enforce laws against him, there may be a problem.
Those rentals may be full of unrelated enhanced-loud-muffler-sports-car driving students and the Government wont say a thing, but if I get Rooster in the city agents will be pounding on my door.

    That's where my rub is.

Gotcha Manimal , and thanks for the explanation. I think most of the time here you and I are on the same page, I just don't label myself Libertarian anymore. I still participate in elections in spite my horrible record of picking "winners".

Congress is being held up by a few champs, as they try to force a vote on Pistol Braces. I looked into Louisiana politicians and found some interesting facts.
For one...all of our Republicans voted to keep American troops in Somalia during their civil war, but even Troy Carter was on the right side of this. All Louisiana Reps voted to keep troops in Syria. All of the America First politicians voted to remove our troops.

Graves & Carter both voted to continue providing Billions of dollars to Ukraine.

All La Reps except for Higgins voted for NDAA.

How do you think they'll vote on the Pistol Brace? It probably wont help to call, but of course we should!

It is definitely time to clean house and start over. The current system we have is broken and no longer works. Term limits would be a help, but we may not have time for a long term fix. In the past, the politicians just talked about what needed to be done and then kicked the problem down the road. They rarely fixed anything because it was not in their best interests to do so. Well, we have reached the end of a lot of those roads and the list of things that need to be fixed or completely reworked boggles the mind.
