I would ship the gun to Glock. They will replace all needed parts at no cost and replace the receiver for a reasonable fee.

More money to spend on the grandkids the cheaper it is to get my wishes.

As I mentioned gun operates flawlessly so maybe I can just shoot with my eyes closed? LOL Won't even see the alteration done.

Also wondered if there was some tyoe of sleave that could be placed to make up the 1/2" difference??

Question; how many rounds does the magazine hold? If it really sticks out 1/2", could it be a G17 mag? Does it hold 15 or 17? Maybe all you need are G19 mags.
