This is the catch...we don't want people with issues owning guns...but then we send them to war and also make a messed up society that trolls sane people all-day every-day, and have a government that wants to get rid of the guns and causes most of the messed up aspects of society, and suddenly people have issues...and become people we don't want to have guns....

When ANY government agency or even ANY civilian business ask if you own guns or have guns in your homes you must think about why are they asking this question.. Be you a veteran or just a ordinary citizen..... Why would they have a need to know ???? Maybe a under the table gun ownership list ?????
If you want to stop veterans from seeking help with mental health, punish them for it. There can already be a stigma involved with it. An added punishment only ensures more veterans will stay away and try to take care of their mental health on their own.
