We might as well start organizing it now. She will be pulling the Pro-Obano lever as soon as it is put to a vote. Now is the time to let her hear it too. She knows Jindal is looking at running against her.

****, man, the way I'm seeing it, I thought Jindal was gearing up for a safe few years so he can run for President. He was uncharacteristically "vague" on his statement regarding Obama's Press Conference today, other than to establish that Obama was wrong. But his alternate solutions were rather vague, and similar to what Obama said, as if to remain quite upright over that fence...

To hell with Landrieu, though, no qualms about that!

Have you emailed her to voice your opinion? Let her know that if she votes for any new gun control legislation that she will lose your vote?

I for one have... Only to receive her vague form letter response.

Not that I expected a personal response from her, but I at least know that she knows where I stand when the time to vote on ANY gun control bill that comes along.

I wish Jindal would have come out like Mississippi's gov. Landrieu is going to vote with the Dems regardless. She stopped being a moderate about the same time her brother lost his hair..... Many years ago.

Don't mean to butt in on your thread, but this is in my realm. Senate is the people's vote, not electoral college, so I'm in. I've been in contact with her in the past on other issues, and got one small step up from the vague response. If you want her in the bag, you need to start seeking help from outside sources. You'd be surprised how many listeners the man from Austin has. One strongly worded letter in that direction, and the fact that Louisiana is so silent and needs to be exploited on the issue, and it's a total call out. Maybe?

The Senate is suppose to stand up for States rights, they are suppose to be elected by the state representatives. If we would have kept the Senate like it should be there is no way the democrats would hold 40 seats, much less have a majority. Use to be a state could recall their senator and replace them at any time with legislative action, kept them honest. Now they are the biggest jokes on the Federal Payroll.

If I e-mailed her and said I would never vote for her again, it would not mean anything. I never voted for her. I don't think she is worried about what we think about her. Does anybody here admit ot voting for her?

She's not worried about our votes. She's already bought all the votes she needs.

If you make her think she has no hope of being re-elected, she may very well do what Obama wants vote wise. This is not the time for it, it will be after a ban is put to a vote and her vote isn't the correct one. Doing this now can only help motivate her to vote for a ban.

Have you politely written her to tell her you don't support a ban? Ruger has a easy way to do so on their site.

No one in the US Senate should vote to ban any firearms, as no one should vote to ban cell phones for the automobile deaths they cause. Less one that is a Constitutionally protected Right!

And nobody here is saying we shouldn't organize and get her voted out of office when election time rolls around. What some of us are trying to say is, first we need to concentrate on subverting the bitch while she is still in office and can do damage to our gun rights. Later, we can dedicate our efforts on gutting her when we get closer to mid-term elections.

Landrieu is for sale. You can get the vote you want with enough money. Just look at Obama Care. She was the last of 2 votes needed, and got bought with a nice chunk of change. It would be illegal if it went directly into her pocket, so she runs it through a state agency first.

I think Landrieu will vote against a ban if one ever comes up for a vote. She voted against renewing the 1994 ban in 2004. She wants to be re-elected. She is from a state that recently passed the strongest protection for gun rights in the nation by a 74% majority. She runs in 2014. All of that adds up to voting our way, even if it is against her nature.

Frankly, I doubt that Harry Reid will make his fellow Democrats go on record on an issue that cannot pass the House. He would cost them votes for no gain.

Thanks for the insight. I didn't think of the Harry Reid angle.
