Mill Spec
So, a guy drops by the shop on Saturday and says
Him-" Hey, do you work on 1911's?"
Me- I sure do. What's going on with it?
Him- "It was run over by an 18 wheeler.
Me - LOL!!! I've had allot of problem 1911's come thru here, but this is a first for me.
So as usual I forgot to take some before pics but I got some after pics. The slide was compressed and the road rash was pretty bad. I had to tig some of the really deep pits and blend them in. Open the slide rails back up and run it on the mill to hit the tight spots that I couldn't get out. I did a Mag Particle test on it to check for stress cracks. Just test fired it and it's running like a sewing machine. I think the Cerakote came out pretty nice too.
