This is going to disappear very soon. I think this is in the wrong thread, should be in the waste of bandwidth thread, lolIn a world of surveillance, cash is king.
What they are referring to : The company that is responsible for the four digit codes that classify a charged purchase have plans to create a new code for firearms. Previously firearms sales were lumped in with sporting goods. They’ve been tracking purchases for a while.
Not when the powers that be forces their crypto currency on the people. All part of the plan. Some call it The Mark.In a world of surveillance, cash is king.
Every time you swipe your card, they are getting 1% to 3% in interchange fees.If you are unhappy with the credit card companies about this, try this. I have been unhappy with credit card companies for a while. I have many but all without an annual fee. I never carry a balance, pay it as soon as I use it, so I pay no interest. They just pay me cash back. And I never zero a balance, always pay at $0.01 over balance. No paperless billing, so the credit card companies are spending $0.60 to tell me I have a $0.01 credit every month. I figure between the monthly 60 cents and the cash back I get without paying interest or an annual fee, I have been costing them money for years, and they have just been paying me.
I never had a credit card until I was in my late 20's, wanted to stay away from them. I moved to Baton Rouge in 2004 and had trouble getting an apartment without paying the entire lease up front because I was told my credit score was 0. I had never heard of such a thing. I had 10 years of perfect rental history, a closed, paid off early vehicle loan with no discrepancies, never had trouble getting an apartment before. If I wanted to get an apartment in the normal fasion, the most practical way to get it was to get a credit card to "unlock" my credit. I felt that I had given no reason to assume I was a risk to rent an apartment to other than I was not in the credit card game, a game I had chosen not to play. Now that they had implemented this score system, it made it difficult to get along in life without being in the game. I felt it was pushed on me, if I didn't want life to be difficult than I better pay tribute to the credit companies. Since then I have tried to get the best score possible while paying as little as possible, and costing them if I can.Plus, to add, why would you be unhappy with credit card companies?

Now it you buy your firearm from a sporting goods store, it'll still be coded as 'sporting goods'. If you buy it from PSA, or Bear Creek, etc., it'll be coded as a 'firearm', in the near future.
Yes. This is my understanding.I think your post is saying what I believe will take place but the video, posted yesterday, linked to in post #13 seems to suggest otherwise. The guy from NSSF put forth a scenario about buying duck hunting gear from some place like cabela's or academy. He talked about buying clothes, decoys, and a bunch of stuff in the same transaction as a shotgun and how the result would show up as a gun purchase with the total being whatever the total was.
I thought the code was to describe the merchant rather than a purchase. If so, buying a couple of guns at cabela's would show up as a large purchase at a sporting goods store. And buying some backpacks from a gun shop for me and some friends would show up as a gun store purchase even though no guns were bought. Do you know if I'm understanding that right?
I stopped ordering online last year, due to my info being stolen. Glad I did, although it's probably been going on for awhile. They will find a way to get what they want, no matter what. Sure wish the right was as organized and motivated, like the left. When they disagree with something, they make their voices heard.
Well, here is the kick in the ass that got me. I went to a Gander Mountain outlet and used my GM Master Card a few years before Gander went under, to buy two boxes of ammo and some camping gear. When I got the CC statement, it had the brand and caliber of the ammo listed independent of the other items I purchased. I have bought NOTHING in the way of ammo or firearms on a card after that.I stopped ordering online last year, due to my info being stolen. It's worth echoing because it takes years for citizens to accept the collective truth. Democrats still believe Trump is selling nuclear secrets to the Russians: because of the FBI's political meddling. Banks can be regulated hard for this so everyone get to work. This is going to disappear very soon. I think this is in the wrong thread, should be in the waste of bandwidth thread, lol
They sure showed them. "We demand to know why you did this!"Breitbart is reporting: "Over 100 GOP Reps. signed a letter that went to Visa, Mastercard, and American Express CEOs yesterday, asking why they flip-flopped to support recategorizing gun sales merchant codes and which gun sales they plan to flag as "suspicious."
