      On my last trip I mainly ate Mountain House meals but also brought some summer sausage, cheese, and tortillas to make wraps for lunch. Was nice change of pace and plenty of calories for 3 lunches.

      Check out www.packitgourmet.com They sell lots of dehydrated or freeze dried meals for backpacking and also sell individual ingredients so you can make up your own meals. You can also buy the book Freezer Bag Cooking which has tons of info on making your own "just add water" backpacking meals.

      Newbie to backpacking, just did my first trip over the summer. 3 nights and 33 miles in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Loved every second of it. Haven't done anything local yet. Planning on hitting up Eagle Rock Loop in Arkansas as soon as possible. Not sure what the big trip next...

      Vote maness or cassidy, today, for sake of 2nd amendment!

      For those talking about debates, local political analyst on the news last night predicted that Cassidy may refuse to debate Mary before the runoff. If he's polling in the 60% range then he has nothing to gain. I voted for Maness but will hold my nose and vote for the RINO on December 6th.

      Disagree, students are usually the first to leave and head to the bars. Most games the top half of the student section is empty after halftime. Been that way since I started there in '96 and probably before that. ETA: Not saying they should take tickets away from the students....

      I showed my wife every concealed carry purse I could find and she shot them all down. Settled on a Coach with a big zippered pocket. Have a desantis nemisis on the way to go in there.
