How long do these things typically take to come in? I sent mine off, mid-April, check was cashed 2 days later, but haven't seen anything in the mail or been called at all.

I was looking at getting one the other day and they kept saying it normally takes 60 days so hold on a bit more. Are you getting it for personal use, I was thinking of doing the same

03 FFLs must be personal use.

03 is a C&R license not to be confused with the Class 3 tax stamp. If you plan on getting a FFL for personal use other that a type 03 you need to be careful what you post and say on the internet.

Ah I see I got my ffl's confused. The 60 days applied to a regular ffl.

Got my C&R last October, took 25 days from mailed off, to receipt of license.

It'll have been 6 weeks, come tomorrow; I mailed it off the Thursday before Easter. Check went through as a debit on 4/26/11.

I got mine several years ago and I have easily gotten my money back probably 2 or 3 times over.

I called the ATF to get an update. They said the office that does the applications recieved it on 5/2/11 and it would be 60-90 days from that date before it would get to me.

Guess I should be glad I wasn't in a hurry.

When I got mine in spring of '08, it took 8 weeks.

I'll bet that the call you made to them is the prodding it takes to get them to process the application. When I got mine, I waited and waited, then called them, and the license arrives the next week.
