If LSU wins, that retarded BCS poll should not change #1 or #2. And they should only switch places if Bama wins.

The rest of the BCS field can't beat either of them. And remember this, the college football elitists around the country secretly; and some overtly, DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANOTHER SEC NATIONAL CHAMP! It's bad for business outside of the SEC.

Which is exactly why the loser of this game will drop multiple spots.

Eitherway if LSU wins out by the end of the year their Strength of Schedule beating a ranked Arkansas will have them at #3 or #4.

If Stanford and Okla St. go down, by the end of the year LSU BCS points will be just above OU's and put LSU at the #2 spot in the BCS Poll.

WE NEED ARKANSAS TO KEEP WINNING....even if it's been by the skin of their teeth. Then if we win against them by then they could be the #4 team giving us a big boost in the BCS #'s.

The big mash up is what if we beat Bama, and Arkansas WINS OUT beating LSU! and Stanford and Okla St. loses, Razorbacks could go on to the NC Title game if they win in the SEC Title game

You know, they say the best player that will be on the field is alabama's RB, citing the alabama Tennessee game. Yeah, he was making some pretty nice jukes and cuts, but what REALLY got him through the line was poor tackling. Dr. Lou said he gives it to LSU because of Jefferson and the option. I can't stand Jefferson and kinda wonder what ole Lou is thinking..

My prediction is that it will either be a close game, LSU wins; or LSU blows open the doors and has their way with red tides and elephants...Blood and gore, basically. What I'm afraid of are the refs. So, here's to a blow out!

Oregon didn't have enough offense to beat us...what makes you think Bama does?

McElroy, Jones, Richardson and Ingram couldn't get it done last year against this same exact defense, so what makes you think that Richardson by himself will?

Oregon didnt have enough defense to beat LSU.

Won't happened again like 2009. So far this Century this IS the first REAL "Game of the Century".

All eyes will be on the game and the refs knowing full well BCS Title Implications are on the line.

A debacle Bum Call could mean Jail Time or even Mayhem for the Ref!!!

Too much football left to be played. Stanford could lose to Oregon and Oka. State could lose to OK. That is what needs to happen for any kind of rematch to even be thought about.

Im just going to try and enjoy this game and all that surrounds it. After this weekend I will worry about that.

Oregon didnt have enough defense to beat LSU.

They were beat by double digits so they didn't have enough offense either right?

Not enough offense, and not enough defense means? = No win.

LSU will stop the run I think, at least 40% of it and will force the game on McCarron. Who by the 3rd/4th Qtr should be pretty banged up with maybe one INT by then, just about the time the Bama O-Line can't keep up with the rotating 8 man deep LSU D Line when for some reason Montgomery and Anthony come alive.

Hopefully anyway....it sounds good to me LOL :mamoru:

What's funny is the fan talk. It's so crazy. We could all bring up the same points of why each team is better. Heck the sports announcers do it daily. Bama has the best DB's that's why they'll win, then 30 minutes later another ESPN writer is saying LSU has the best DB's that's why they'll win.

I guess this is why they play the game.
Numbers's and Historical Data Can't tackle and they can't score touchdowns and they also mean nothing in determining the outcome of the game. It's only history to add on to AFTER the game.

They mean something to Vegas oddsmakers. I have long since stopped betting football, but I can tell you these oddsmakers are either crunching data with Supercomputers or they are geenies. Cause when they come out with a spread and it ends up being spot on more times than not, that is scary.

Oh and something else about the numbers. Bama didn't play a High Powered Offense like Oregon or WVU this year. This is why LSU's rank is just behind Bama's. Were talking a dozen or more yds here and the numbers would be the same for both teams. Had Bama played either one of these two teams they wouldn't be ranked #1 in all things Defensive. Not saying Bama D wouldn't have stopped them just the same but it would have shown up in the numbers now everyone is looking at as Bama being #1 in yds allowed running/passing etc.

Bama's most powerful Offensive opponent this year?......drum roll......Arkansas? yep...

    Just saying..... :mamoru:

Remember, remember the 5th of november when Tigers and elephants fought. I know of no reason why bama this season should ever be at the top!

Casual fans will be bored by it....but the sports guys will know what just took place and the polls will then reflect that also.....or should. Could end up with a National Championship Rematch that way.

The only way we could possibly end up with a NC rematch is if LSU loses by a small margin and wins the rest of their games. Ppl will say LSU only lost cuz Alabama had home field advantage and will want to see a rematch on a neutral field... but, considering exactly how "neutral" the Superdome would be with the Tigers there, that may not even be a possibility.
