Had no lever guns on the list either.

I would NEVER want to own a lever handgun! ;)

When I think about handguns I should own I'm talking about stuff that I don't have a use for but just WANT them. These would be in addition to carry guns or other stuff bought for a specific purpose. My short list would be something like:

    S&W Model 29
    Ruger Blackhawk 45LC
    S&W Model 66
A nice custom 1911 (Yost maybe?)
    S&W .22 revolver (can't remember model numbers)
Ruger Mk II Bull Barrel and Taper Barrel

    3) German Luger *own*
    4) any 1911 *own an auto ordnance 1911, gets the job done*
    5) FN Five-seven
    6) S&W M&P .40 / 9mm *had one, sold it regrettably*
    7) S&W 500 Mag *just because*
    8) Taurus Judge or S&W Governor
    9) Walther PPK
    10) Browning Hi Power

Derp, derp. My reading comprehension skills are off today. Handgun, not gun

Still, a Volcanic pistol would be cool to own.... so would a Borchardt C-93 and a Mauser C96.... A Schofield... lots of cool stuff.

LOLz, just messin' withcha! I'm seriously puzzled why the model 66 and the Mk II didn't make the list.

Even as a big fan of revolvers, I don't see how you need two different N frames. Sure the 27 and 29 are nice, but the only difference between them really is caliber, so I don't see why two slots would be used for them.

Sure I think everyone should have a snub nose, but I don't really think it would have to be a chief's special. I guess if you had to pick just one type of snubbie.

And as for the Ruger alaskan....why? What about that gun is special? It is a niche gun for a niche market that most people have no use for, nor did it really do anything significant for the development of firearm trends as a whole.

And I think instead of glock 22 it should just be "glock." If you have a bunch of glocks, but no glock 22, I don't think you have any reason to go out and buy one.

I agree with some other posts that the Colt Python should be on there somewhere. I'd put a CZ75 up there too, as far as contribution to handgun design goes.

Not all that jazzed about their Top 10 choices.

I'm not a revolver guy by a long shot, but a Colt Python would be the one I'd own if I hit the lottery. Funny, another desirable classic that comes immediately to mind is a Colt Delta Elite. Other than that, and not having hit the lottery, I guess I'm happy with what I have. Though some days I kinda wish I would've had the spare coin to pick up that Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail in 10mm my bayou buddy Barney88PDC sold off a while back :D

I know the Walther PPK / PPKS's are cool cause of 007 but the only semi-auto I've seen fail more while trying to qualify is the AMT .380. No way that Walther should be on the list....they were feast or famine.
