Where most peoples comfort zone ends is where my fun begins. So far my personal max is 170, but it is on my bucket list to do 200 on 2 wheels or 4.

I used to race shifter karts and I can tell you 130 mph with your butt dragging the ground is the most awesome feeling you will ever feel on 4 wheels I had a chub working after my first race lol

I watched the whole thing.......at what point does he reach 170 mph.

Upper 140's for me also and let me say I didn't think either car would stick to the road much beyond that so I backed off. A buddy is doing something similar although somewhat slower with a lawnmower. I think he is shooting for 90+ mph.

it sounded like an inline 4 on meth and cammed.. even sounded like he had the motorcycle transmission still. I have done 165 on two wheels and would cruise at 130 all the time.. but I have things to live for now.. but it would have been fun to drive back when..

I knew someone a long time ago that had one with a roll cage, small bike engine 650cc maybe, and tranny from a vw bug. 4 wheel disc brakes, lights, etc. I don't know the top speed but it easily beat my 6cyl ranger once. There's been a lot of advances in the last 25 years, so I can see building a go cart that would do 170.

Same here. Unfortunately, I have not had many opportunities to visit my adrenaline rush range in my life. And, yes, again, to the magical 200MPH club. Even if I died in a fiery crash after hitting that number, I would die happy.

Shifter karts are cool, that video is not. If you're going to drive an unregistered vehicle on public streets, breaking untold traffic laws in the process AND video the whole thing, at least be a good driver.

Obviously on a track, but it shows how karts should be driven.
