I met a guy who is taking his handicapped son hunting. Got on the topic of his rifle( Ruger Model 77 in 7mm mag.) , an older rifle. He had it at a gunsmith for fitting some special apparatus. The gunsmith offered to buy him a brand new rifle (the same thing) if he could get the old one. Why would the gunsmith want the older ruger?

Maybe the gunsmith didn't want to mar an older rifle? Some people like the older rugers...
