Who in the Baton Rouge area has the best selection, I have some Rem 220 gr but its actually a hair over the speed of sound.

I want to get a variety to see what sounds best out of the suppressor

silencerco is doing 200 rnds for 170 today on their 208 and 220 subs.

Armscor stuff is super dirty.. the gemtech ammo is pretty dirty as well.

What length barrel are you shooting this out of? The remington stuff chronos 1020 or so out of my 9" barrel.

You're definitely not going to be able to find any locally. Either use ammoseek.com or invest in reloading equipment.

Best 300 BLK Subs we use in all our suppressor demos are

    Beck
    Gorilla
    Gemtech (Blems)

Had good luck with the Sig ammo as well, just buy it online and skip the BS of driving around looking for them.

Also Rem 220 OTM's are flat out junk

I actually found 5 different brands of subsonic in Baton Rouge and I have access to a professional sound meter, first chance I get I will do a test

So you have access Larson Davis or B&K with a 1/4" pressure mic? Because there are only a few meters on the planet that can accurately gauge that short of an impulse noise.

Also ammo selection has much more to do with group consistency, velocity consistency, than it does with sound because all of the quality ammo's are going the same speed within reason. Outside of the Rem 220gr which on some days goes supersonic still.

Other thing to take into consideration if you are going to meter ammo is what barrel length because depending on powder loads some ammo may or may not produce more muzzle pressure in a given barrel. So one type of ammo may be fantastic with your gun, gas setup, and buffer weights but be negatively impacted by someone elses weapon setup.
