Anyone have any experience with them?

I am thinking of getting one and looking for feedback (and where/what brand to get one)

It will primarily be a hog/deer gun. And a way to get 30cal out of an ar15 :D

Yeah....it's tough to beat a good ak. I can't think of a reason why I'd want an ar in 762x39 with all the other options out there.

    Sorry I can't help more...

yea, thought of that... I just have no experience with AK.... maybe a good excuse to get one :D But then that opens all the noob questions (last time I looked into getting one I came across more countries than brands.... any advice on AK?)

Yeah sure buy a 7.62x39mm upper if you are familiar the AR and don't want to learn a new rifle. I suspect the round would work very well on hogs.

I've personally never heard of one running reliably. Tapered cartidges in a straight mag...it's physics folks! If you want cheaper AR ammo, get a 5.45 upper. If you want a bigger hole, get a .300BLK upper.
