I have fallen in love with my G32, made the switch from a G22.

Anyone else have any good experience with this round?

    AWESOME ROUND. I have a Glock 22 & an Smith M&P 40- bought a .357 Sig barrel for both....That's a stout round.

Actually, funny you should ask. Although I am fond of the 9mm and 45, I guess that my mentality is shoot what you train with. Familiarity and knowing what it will do often means a lot.

For the past 12 years I've carried a Sig 229 chambered for the 357 Sig round ... mostly with a 125 grain load. It's a serious, business orientated round with what might be called a cult following. I've noticed that few people sit on the fence about the round, either they like it or they don't.

Different strokes for different folks. Oh, yea, I like Sigs too.

Good question ... I've carried both. Right now I'm using Winchester Ranger 125 grain SXT rounds. I've also used Speer Gold Dot 125 grain GDHP's with no complaints. Both gave good performance and, for me it was really a question of availability.

I like the .357Sig round, I purchased the first Sig 229DAO in .357Sig I could find from a distributor when they were first introduced. Loved the gun but not the cost of .357Sig ammunition. I do not reload.

Love the round, but I currently still have "fanboi" status. Looking to buy something from Sig chambered in this round as a present to myself for ____(insert achievement here)___.

Perhaps the Elite Stainless in the .357sig, but might have to go barrel hunting.

I like shooting guns with recoil but didnt find the round had as much recoil as people say it does. I did find it is one hell of an accurate round.

I have 357 sig barrels for my 23 and 27. Kind of surprised the recoil feels a little less than 40 S&W but much louder and harder hitting. Have not tried the Gold Dot. The Winchester bonded makes a nasty impact. My carry round of choice. I do not have cildren at home and live semi-rural so not much concern of over penetration. The negatives, price and availibility.

I friend of mine dropped by today and he is a great fan of the glocks in this caliber in fact he has one of all of them. I have not shot one but the ballistics are pretty stout.

Many wonder why anyone wants a 125gr. 9mm bullet (357S) in a .40 case when they can have a 180gr. .40 bullet in a .40 case which costs less, is more readily available, and does basically the same job.

I love it. Years ago I had my G22 barrel replaced with the .357 sig barrel. I liked it so much that I went ahead and bought a G31. Its been one of my favs since.

how do you feel about the ballistic pressure wave theory?

The sig round was meant to replicate the performance of the .357 mag in 125 gr out of a 4 inch barrel. The mag is known as one of the best "fight stoppers" available. Not saying the .357 will do much that a .40 won't, but it feels a lot different, and many like it better.

As far as cost of ammo goes, for quality hollow point the sig is no more expensive than the .40 at all. For range/play ammo I am paying about 17 per 50.
