    I'm getting a cheap compound bow from a friend to set up my fishing rig with. Just wondering if anyone here else does and what know pull ya have to have?

    Bow fish, and mostly in tne day for carp freshwater, and reds in the marsh/flats. Started off with an old compound, now use a recurve. It's 45lbs, and would actually prefer it was @ 30-35.

    I might have to go 40-50 cause of fishing for gar.

    Just be aware that if you shoot high lbs like that, when you miss, and you will prob more than you hit(we all do),it will travel underwater further, and penetrate underwater logs, etc, deeper. If you're shooting in areas without underwater logs, etc, then it's not much of an issue. (Sand bars/flats)
