Any rimfire competiitons?

My son has really been getting into his 10/22. I was wondering if there are any competitions for youth or open to all with rimfire types.

Not horrible. This is how me and him bond 90% of the time anyway!

IN the warmer months Palo Alto has a 50 and 100 yds smallbore match on the 2nd saturday of every month shooting in the Prone, f class, and bench disciplines. How old is your son, would he be interested in shooting Highpower? The LSA sponsors a Junior team, we supply them with everything, they just need to show up. Starting age is generaly 14yo or so.

Hoov from TPS in Amite mentioned about holding a rimfire shoot/competition by years end. Was just in casual conversation but if he does I am sure they'll post it on the calendar on TPS website.

He is 13 right now. He loves to go shoot. Im just trying to find out where are some places for him to compete and what rifle I would need to get him if it isnt his 22.

I shot a few .22 pistol plate matches at Nicks. Lots of fun! But jeez I went through some ammo!

13, if he is of large stature we will take him into the LSA Junior Program, Either way come watch a highpower match at the Ascension SO Range on the 4th Sunday of every month by Lamar Dixon at 730am , there should be one this Sunday, I dont know about December as that falls on the weekend before christmas. IN order to enter the program he must Join the LSA,

Sounds very interesting! Might have to make it up there soon so he can check it out!

How bout a 10 year old that stands 5'4 and weighs 210? Lol yea I got a big kid. He shoots with me quite a bit. Id love to find a match he could shoot in. He is a very quiet timid kid. Shooting has helped him get over his fears and helps him socilize with other people.
