Pool supply store? whatcha using it for?

Salt will be the number one bartering item when shtf.
Look it up. I know a lady who lived in Nazi Germany during WWII. She said people murdered for salt. It's a preservation agent for meat, among other things. It's essential for human homeostasis, and it has first-aid properties as well.

He shouldn't stockpile the pool salts. It's not iodized and that is what I think gives it the medicinal properties. On the other hand, you don't want iodized or table salt in your pool for the extra additives. You could have staining or issues with the salt water generator.

I'm stockpiling ammo. I'm not concerned with anything else. If I've got guns and ammo, I can obtain any other items I might need.

You can't eat bullets....and you might not want to make that many enemies in a time when teamwork might be more valuable. Unless of course you are talking about trading, in which case I still say a bird in hand is worth . . .

A bird in the hand is worth........ one meal :) But a case of bullets will feed my family for awhile, and keep them safe.

Salt is to our bodies as oil is to an engine.

When I was little and we'd have home made ice cream I would sneak a little piece of rock salt and suck on it like candy. As if anybody cares.

If he tries " obtaining " from the wrong place he may be eating bullets...but surely that was a reference to barter
