I seen these on the academy website. Cva stalker single shot crack barrel. Cal. range form a .223 .243 7mm .308 30-06. I'm interested in the .308. Went to the academy in metarie. They had one in 7mm.... At a 179.00 bucks looks like a steal. Here is the link.

Dont know anything about them, but they were fairly hard to find when I went looking for a single shot rifle. I bought an H&R Handi Rifle in 45-70 and it is accurate as all get out. No problems there! And it was only about $220

I bought one of these in .223 a few weeks ago. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet. A few notes about it. The finish was ok, the barrel is 1-10 so It looks like it most likely will not stabilize my 68 grain rounds. The trigger was pretty bad, I broke the gun down and filed/buffed the burrs out of the hammer and trigger face. I have it down to around 4 lbs with a fish scale.. but it breaks a lot cleaner now. Hopefully I can get some rounds down range this weekend, most likely will be 55g fmj as that's all I have on hand. Will update when I get a few groups. I bought this as a light target rifle for my wife and because It was only $179. So as long as it shoots it will keep me entertained for a while.

These things go on sale from time to time for $159. I don't know too much about them, other than you can't find a Bergara barrel for any gun for less than the price of this gun.

First shot was high and right, second was low and left, third was one of the four in the middle, last three were for a group at 100 yards with nothing adjusted on the scope. I used my hunting backpack for a rest, and tried to brace the gun as close to the action as possible. Ammo was Monarch 55g FMJ. Im happy for $159.00
