Trying to put use the accuwedge on my AR - basic palmetto state model - and basically it's too big. Wedge won't let the 2 pieces fit together - upper won't sit far enough down into the lower to allow the pin across. Anyone have this problem? Shave the bottom down to allow the upper half to sit further down? or does it really matter? Not expecting a big different accuracy wise, was just trying to take the slop out.

    Thanks

Not a big fan of those. They don't accomplish much other than making the upper and lower harder to separate and introduce a potential failure. Not a big fan of loose bits hanging out around my trigger group. Anything less than about 1/16" gap (when twisted all the way to one side) between upper and lower is considered in spec.

#7 o-ring. 1/2 od x 3/8 id x 1/16. Try it around the front takedown pin lug. You'll have to change it every time you take it down but, it does help with slop.

Agree with Speed, don't want anything in there that ain't supposed to be.
