Should be replaced with flash suppresors.:D

I had the pleasure of hitting the range with the stalls on either side of me blasting away with brake'd AR's non stop. I have a headache now just thinking of it.

they certainly aren't nice to sit next to. I got a 16 inch saiga in 5.56 also with no device. It's loud as hell and I'm gonna have to thread it or something.

I was wondering if there was some sort of device that could be attached to a comp/brake that would protect shooters next to you. Sort of like a sheath or something like that. I know it defeats the purpose of the brake, but I could see it having uses from time to time. I know many brakes are set up to quick connect to cans, so It would seem you could slide something on rather easily that would accomplish directing the blast forward instead of to the sides.

Actually, there is. Not too many people know about them though and it's fairly new on the market. The cool thing is that this "sheath" doesn't defeat the purpose of the brake, but will actually work similar to one while it's on the gun. Keep an eye out and you may see a few being shot from time to time...

Take a look at the battle-comp. Works well for recoil mitigation and doesnt have the concussive effects of a full on brake.
