Has anyone used this place to buy/sell guns? It doesn't look quite as secure as gunbroker and more like a craigslist. Anybody have any experience with it or has anybody been "had"?
    Thanks

More like a Craigslist - I've discovered several scammers there. Watch for the usual scammer alarms:
Poor use of English language (worse than us)
Area code different from stated location
Want the money wired / Western Union
Can't answer simple/basic firearms questions (does your Colt Python have the standard 6 round "clip" or the aftermarket 8 round?)
Claim they are a FFL holder therefore they can ship direct to your home address
Price REALLY reasonable (you get what you pay for)

That being said, there are many legit sellers on there also -- buyer beware.

Yea that sounds exactly like what I dealt with a couple months ago. I was interested in a .357 Smith revolver this guy had, well the location said he was in Illinois and after I called him, the area code was in Miami, Florida. (Clue #1) At this point I was highly skeptical, so to finish it off, I asked him if it was the "10-shot" model, which obviously doesn't exist, and he agreed. Just makes me shake my head when people are out to get ya but sadly theres alot of that.

    behind a desk ....
sounds like you just need to ask for as many photo(s) as possible ..

and if you are sending off payment, send it off at where they need to sign for it ...

but they do have ify sellers ( but thats like any where nowadays )

I use it to sell, I've sold 4-5 guns on there with no problems. I have never bought anything on there. I've almost always meet in person to sell, I've only shipped firearms a few times.

I've done a fair bit of buying/selling of stuff on Armslist. It's just like craigslist, don't be stupid when dealing with people. I only do business in person and it's always during the day at a public-ish place; Wal-Mart or Academy parking lots work pretty well for this.
