Bad wreck on Cornerview

Just passed a bad looking wreck on Cornerview between Burnside and Hwy 73 in the curvy part. Looks like the driver hit a big oak tree and flipped numerous times. Possibly ejected from car. Car parts were scattered 100 plus feet on the road. Anyone know what happened?

From what I observed it is my opinion they were driving way too fast. Even if it was dry. I travel that road frequently to check out the house we are building. It is very curvy to say the least.

Heard the call over the radio and it did not sound like it was a good outcome for the person ejected.

I did a rotation in a rehab unit that worked with closed head injuries. All were unrestrained occupants in a MVA. I'm betting that is the case here.

So very sad indeed. I am currently teaching my 15 year old daughter to drive and stories like this just make me shudder. Prayers sent for the family. I can't even imagine what they must be going through.

Man, I came upon the accident right after it happened. And that's exactly what I thought happened. My gut feeling was bad as I slowly passed by the accident. Very sad.
