This article does not say that Carson himself admitted it was a lie.

First, all of these articles talk about statements from his campaign.

Second, none of the statements from him or his campaign state that Dr. Carson lied in any fashion. They only clarify some of the surrounding facts.

This is just more garbage from the democrat hatchetmen, trying to distract and discredit the front-running candidate in any way that they can.

Again, nobody gets a per-se scholarship to a military academy, because it is free; however, it is touted as a scholarship by many (including recruiters) and is in fact a scholarship in all senses of the word. They will make you pay them back "tuition" if you drop out after the first year. You can only get away without paying them anything if you complete your service after graduation.

    I'm starting to see this^ point! However, as I alluded to previously, the slugs will paint a distorted picture to marginalize him and try to wreck him regardless. Jade, I can't get passed this quote from the article however;

According to Westmoreland's schedule, he wasn't even in Detroit at the time.

I hope the doc doesn't come up with a claim that he had a time machine during that phase, to go along with his Egyptian grain silo theory. :p

I easily get passed it, since we are talking about stuff that Dr. Carson wrote about 20 years ago, which happened some 25 years before that. What was on this guy's schedule in the 1960s is pretty irrelevant IMO with what actually happened.

    Also:
A West Point spokesperson told POLITICO that that it was "certainly possible" that Carson spoke with the general, and the four-star may have even encouraged the teenager to apply.

If you're okay with a person being in charge of our deficit, a war, our rights, international relations and terrorism that has no job training for the position then good luck.

That sounds like Obama. Two years of doing nothing in the Senate is not much either.

The more he gets attacked, the more I want to vote for him!

His CNN phone interview today was really excellent.

He's definitely a little out there, but he has such a positive, reasonable demeanor, able to emphasize what's important and cut through the ********. And it's plain as day that he's a brilliant guy, and being a program director at Hopkins for so long is confirmation of that.

After listening to informed commentary and reading the Fox article, it seems that this was indeed just a Politico hit job. Even so, the timing is bad for Carson, as it comes on the heels of his "pyramid" and "violent youth" comments. He's coming across as a bit of a nutjob. And his last debate performance was not good.

Carson's a good guy, and brilliant, but definitely not POTUS material. To me, he sorely lacks the backbone to be the strong leader we need so desperately right now. I can easily see him rolling over for the Rats on everything, just like Bush, Boehner, McConnell, and rest of the GOP-e losers do 24/7.

I'm still puzzled why they attacked him so early. Maybe to siphon off those voters for (complete pro-amnesty) Rubio, who is already being touted as the next "contender". In other words, the next RINO candidate to be preordained as the nominee, and guaranteed to lose in the general.

Interesting race, and far from over...

Anyone who doesn't see the "violent past", "pyramid religious views controversy" and "Westpoint scandal/lie" as an attempt by the media to divide and remove favor toward Carson is blind to their tactics. None of this impacts what kind of president he will be IMO. I would not be opposed to Cruz, but I don't think he will gain enough support. Carson has my support, but I will vote for whoever gets the nomination to run against Hillary/Bernie.

I guess we can surmise who you are voting for! :p

    :D

None of the current field is my perfect candidate (does that even exist anymore?), but I definitely like Carson, Paul, and *gasp* Trump.

I think Paul is a little too fringe, which is why he polls so low. Trump scares me. Carson is top of my list right now, I don't agree with all of his personal beliefs, but politically I think he's ideal.

    Well said.

Same here, I'll vote for anyone who gets the nomination. I really, really, really hope that isn't Jeb Bush though.

FWIW: I watched the video clip on this link from Outnumbered and have come to the conclusion that Andrea Tantaros has some huge ta ta's. :boink:

    They are very distracting!!!

And now a new, factual Carson story, direct from the Wall Street Journal. Click here to read it.

Short version: Today, in an interview with the WSJ, Carson expressed his support for Obama's disastrous TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) bill, the text (all 5,554 pages!) of which was finally released yesterday.

Sen. Jeff Sessions, one of the most conservative voices in Congress, came out strongly against it (Breitbart story here) while establishment idiots like Jeb Bush, Rubio, and Christie praised it. Read the Breitbart story, which reveals just how bad this bill is, as it undermines American sovereignty in a huge way, turning control of items like immigration, trade, etc. over to an international "commission". Its scope is vast, and frightening.

And Ben Carson thinks this is a good thing.

He is DEFINITELY off my list, and many true conservatives on boards I frequent have also removed him from consideration. I predict his poll numbers have peaked, and the slide will start almost immediately. Look for Rubio to become the new candidate propped up by the media, in order to lose should he be nominated. (He won't be.)

I am tired of voting for gutless, RINO, big-government "Democrat-lite" candidates. I did so for McCain and Romney, but NO more. NEVER. After the landslide Republican midterm win, thanks to supporters like me who were told our new representatives would stop Obamacare, amnesty, etc. they immediately rolled over, handed Obama the K-Y, and dropped their pants. Theirs was a HUGE lie, and we've had to watch the Boehners and McConnells give the Socialists in charge everything they want ever since. It's pathetic.

No more will I vote for such liars and losers. At this point in time, I'd vote for Trump or Cruz. None of the "Hitlery-lite" candidates have the balls, brains, or desire to stop what's happening to America. If one of them is the R nominee, I'll vote third-party, write-in, or skip the presidential choice. Because, unless a fundamental change is made, we're headed for collapse anyway, so we might as well have Hitlery at the helm when it happens. Hopefully though, someone who actually loves American exceptionalism will win, and change the course of where we're headed.

It has been reported by my best friend's cousin's girlfriend's uncle that Ben Carson farted during class in the 3rd grade and even attempted to blame it on another student.

to all carson supporters, just curious, how his tax plan is going to help everybody? he propose a flat tax rate for everybody, including billionaires, i doubt that will save the economy. also, billionaires hide their money elsewhere for tax reasons, even flat tax rate is not going to make them pay, as long as they know they can make more money by hiding it.

10-15 percent flat tax, without regard to medical or other real life issues, would cripple most mid income families.

Another big issue is government controlled intellectual property. Not talking about movie or music. I'm talking educational information. They could ban post/blog/forums that share class three information. We could get fined for sharing information the government rules illegal.

How would a 10-15 percent flat tax kill middle class families? I consider myself middle class and would love to only pay 10%
