BUMP??

I am new here and I beed seeing the word "BUMP" on a lot of post. The only problem is I dont know what it means. Can anyone help me?

A meaningless reply whose sole purpose is only to "bump" the thread to the top of the forum listing. See also, "TTT," "To the Top," etc.

BTT, Bump The Thread, TTT, To The Top, and Up are used on most forums. Some forums have "Up Limits" which limit the thread maker to bumping the thread every couple of hours or possibly days.
