Replaced all 4 pieces of wood, the magazine and all of the stock associated metal. Now, I need to find me an oversize bolt head so that I can try to decrease some of the headspace.
That looks like one of those "A" grade Mosin Nagants the vendors were selling a few months back. Good find. I'm going to have to build a gun rack to get mine off the floor. I can see from your SMLE photo that you have the same problem: more guns than space to store them.
I had posted this in the regular rifle section... I should have put it here...
Springfield 1954 M1 Garand and a 1940 Luger... on top of some local news papers. Ok, so the Garand is from a different era than the newpapers.... but you get the idea.
So you have a P08, huh? Those things are really good to have - just as investments. I'm envious of the Garand. I keep planning to drive to Anniston, but life keeps getting in the way of the two-day trip.
Hello all. Clearly I am not the enthusiast you folks are. I have enjoyed reading this thread. I have a few old military rifles in my safe. Haven't shot them in years. Sadness. Also, I recently had a close friend pass and I am responsible for selling his rifles and give his widow the proceeds. I am in the process of completing an inventory ( not an easy task given my limited knowledge) and will begin to offer many of the rifles for sale. This process will take a while. You folks seem to be very interested in collecting. I will add to this thread in the near future.
Once you are ready to sell any firearms, be sure to place posts in the Market Place section in either the Long Guns Classifieds or the Handguns Classifieds section. Good luck and welcome to the forums.
