Camp Villere (or other NO area ranges)

Can anyone tell me about the range facility at Camp Villere? I am scouting ranges to host Project Appleseed events. We need ranges closer to NO than Sherburne. Does anyone have a contact at the Camp Villere range?

If anyone has any other suggestions/connections to ranges in the NO area, please let me know. We need 25 meters from firing line to targets. And, as a non-profit, we are not able to pay more than minimal use fees. Because our events last 2 days and we need the whole firing line, we cannot use Honey Island.

Is it weekend only? Honey Island could be arranged for a weekday event seeing that you are nonprofit (and if not charging).

It probably needs to be a weekend. Maybe try Nick's in Garyville?

The camp is on National Guard grounds so I would probably try to aproach it that way, eventhough the Police Academy is located on it I would assume the top command would be Military ............

NOT sure if they would allow it though

Command for the LA Guard is at Jackson Barracks. You might start with their Public Information Officer. He's probably more accessible to you at this point.

Slidell PD, and the Slidell PD shooting team often reserve the Camp VIllere range. Be sure to schedule it plenty in advance.

Thanks for the input. I have never been to Nick's. Is there a 25 meter (or longer) area that can be used seperately from other portions of the range? In other words, could multiple events/activities be happening at the same time?
