    Looks like ass.

Blued steel looks best with that pistol. If I wanted it fancied up, I'd get that super high polished 'royal blued' you see on the fancy gold cup 1911s.

This, but on a HiPower... I think what makes a 1911 look good often compliments a HiPower (obvious reasons)

Interesting but I prefer "old school" (probably cuz I'm old).
If you are a HP collector and have examples in different finishes, I'd say "why not?". They are great guns regardless of finish.

I pretty much echo the others here. If I wanted a gun that looked like it was made out of plastic, I'd buy one that was. Make mine steel.

wow, the owner must be into star wars. Hi Powers are more for the traditionalist and this is not a finish that goes with a hi power, maybe a kel tec

I have a Sig with that finish. It is a pain in the A$$. You cannot get any kind of solvent on it or it will peel not to mention it just ain't right to have that kind of finish on a BHP. I have the epoxy blue/black finish on my HP and it looks good. I like the finish on the HP that JNieman posted above.

the pic I posted is a 1911, just for the record- but if I wanted a fancied up HP, I think that's the route I'd go. Traditional colors/finishes, but done on a higher level of pretty.
